Circular Road in Ryde has been closed from its junction with Marlborough Road to its junction with Hope Road, for a distance of 180 metres.
This is to enable Southern Water to carry out emergency repairs.
The diversion will affect these streets: Hope Road & Marlborough Road.
Diversion route(s) will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
From 09:10 hours on 13th August 2020, for a maximum period of five days or until works are completed, whichever is sooner.
If you have any queries regarding the above please contact Island Roads on 01983 822440.
Copies of all traffic orders may be viewed on the public notices website isleofwight.roadworks.org.
* Please note that the closure period of the order stated above is for legal reasons. In most scenarios, works are normally completed much sooner than the 5 or 21-day order. However, if the works do overrun, a new, updated order will be issued and published on Island Echo.

Or is it so they can assess water carrying capacity to feed the masses of houses to be built in the green fields, with the wild life, as yet blissfully ignorant of the destruction about to destroy its food source, home and way of life, forever.
Think you may be wrong about the water mains work, but so right about the wicked destruction of wild life and it’s habitat.
Ryde is going to near meet Nettlestone and Seaview, and when the mainland overspill have finished filling the Pennyfeather homes to over capacity, the last few green spaces left between such will then need to be covered in concrete to house their numerous and charming offspring.
This council needs to go, and the MP imo only pays lip service to limiting the damage to our precious landscape here.
These planners, councillors, especially those with a vested interest in having more customers for their businesses, will be living far away from the congestion, noise, and ugly landscape they happily force onto others.
The MP has shown no real love of the Island’s history, county side, or its longstanding inhabitants, by seemingly doing nothing to prevent the ruination of our, and the wildlife’s lives.
All to be ruined, not for a while, but forever.
Too many cosy links with planners, developers, councillors perhaps?
