Pan Together has recently received a £10,000 community investment as part of P3P Partners’ Green KW Community Interest solar scheme here on the Isle of Wight.
P3P Partners develops, finances, builds and operates projects in the energy sector and also owns the large tomato nursery near Arreton.
Rachel Thomson, Pan Together’s Community Centre Manager, has said:
“This really substantial financial donation from P3P Partners will make an absolutely terrific contribution to our community support and anti-poverty services. Sadly, these are becoming increasingly essential to local residents when the cost of living crisis is biting so hard for so many.
“94% of places in the country are more affluent than Pan and a shocking 35% of local children are growing up in poverty against an England average of 17%. These statistics are from September 2019 and the situation has undoubtedly worsened in the wake of the pandemic and the increasingly tough economic climate.
“Times are incredibly hard for local people. We can’t change the world but we can and do make a tangible and direct difference to people’s lives. The need is certainly urgent and pressing and we can’t thank P3P Partners enough for their really significant support.”
