Cowes Chiropractic Clinic has returned to Island ownership after around 6 years under mainland control, with ambitious plans to expand its range of services and develop the Birmingham Road premises into a comprehensive health and rehabilitation hub.
The new owners say existing patients should see continuity at the long-established clinic, with its current team and core services remaining in place.
Instead, the approach to the acquisition is being described as ‘no change, only additions’, with plans to bring further practitioners, treatments and healthcare services under one roof.
The clinic already offers chiropractic care, physiotherapy, massage, full-body rehabilitation, sports therapy, acupuncture and ultrasound therapy, among other treatments.
Osteopathy has now been added, with experienced osteopath Steve Mann joining the team as the first phase of the expansion.
Further services covering other areas of health are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Charlie Panayi has said:
“Cowes Chiropractic Clinic already has a fantastic team, a loyal patient base and a strong reputation built up over many years. We haven’t bought it because we want to come in and change all of that, quite the opposite.

“We want to protect everything people already know and value about the clinic, while asking a much bigger question, what else could we offer from here that would genuinely benefit people on the Isle of Wight?
“The long-term vision is for Cowes Chiropractic Clinic to become a true health hub for the Island.”
The expansion is also set to move beyond the clinic’s traditional musculoskeletal and rehabilitation services.
Regular free skin-check clinics are to be hosted in association with Zoe’s Law and The Lighthouse Clinic, with the first scheduled for Tuesday (13th October) and further sessions planned every 8 weeks.
Charlie continued:
“The skin-check clinics are a great example of what we mean when we talk about becoming a health hub.
“It’s not about trying to turn Cowes Chiropractic Clinic into something completely different. It’s about looking at the premises, the team, the thousands of people we already have a relationship with and asking how we can make more high-quality healthcare available to Islanders.
“Some of that will be through bringing additional practitioners into the clinic and some will be through partnerships with other healthcare organisations.
“We’ve only just started.”
Despite the expansion plans, the clinic’s new owners have stressed that existing services are not being removed.
Charlie added:
“The most important thing for our existing patients to understand is that we’re not taking anything away.
“The practitioners they trust, the treatments they use and the things they value about Cowes Chiropractic Clinic are what gave us the confidence to invest in the business in the first place.
“Our job now is to build on those foundations and help our community.
“After a number of years of mainland ownership, I’m also particularly pleased that the clinic is back in Island ownership. Decisions about its future are being made here, by people who understand the Island and who are committed to investing in its long-term healthcare offering.
“This isn’t a short-term project. We have a very clear vision for what Cowes Chiropractic Clinic can become, and I think the next few years are going to be incredibly exciting.”
Further services and new practitioners are expected to be announced by the clinic over the coming months.
