A Newport man accused of numerous sexual offences, including rape and sexual assault, has seen his case sent to the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
Ian Taylor, 64, of Chichester Walk, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court today (Tuesday) charged with rape of a woman 16 years or over, 2 counts of assault a female 13 and over by penetration and 7 counts of sexual assault on a female.
The alleged offending occurred between 31st December 2024 and 24th January 2025.
Due to the nature of the charges, the case was sent straight to the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
No pleas were entered.
Taylor will next appear at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on 5th October.
