Cherry Godfrey has appointed Bill Tatnall as its new Head of Property Management as the business looks to grow its residential and block management portfolio in Guernsey.
Bill brings leadership and customer service experience to the position, alongside previous experience working within Guernsey’s building and construction sector.
Having lived and worked in Guernsey for many years, his career began as an electrician before progressing into management and customer service roles.
His appointment comes as Cherry Godfrey Property looks to expand its managed portfolio and develop its property management services.
The company says Guernsey’s rental market has remained active, with almost 20% more properties let during the first half of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025.
It also says demand continues to exceed the supply of available rental properties across both the Local and Open Markets.
As well as overseeing the day-to-day management of the portfolio, Bill will support property projects undertaken on behalf of clients, coordinating work with the wider team and helping to ensure projects remain within agreed timescales and budgets.
Bill has said:
“Joining Cherry Godfrey felt like a natural step for me. As a family-run local business, there is a genuine focus on people, relationships, honesty and doing the right thing, values that are very important to me.
“I’ve always enjoyed working with people and building strong relationships, and property was an industry I was very keen to return to when the right opportunity came along.
“Property management is all about trust, communication and ensuring clients feel confident that their properties are in safe hands.
“There is a huge amount of potential to develop this part of the business, and I’m excited to support our existing clients, grow the portfolio and play a part in what Cherry Godfrey Property is building for the future.”
Bill has previously worked with Cherry Godfrey’s Group Property Director, Mike Collins.
Mike has said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Bill to Cherry Godfrey Property. I know Bill well from our time working together previously and have seen first-hand the leadership, professionalism and genuine focus on people that he brings.
“Property Management is a hugely important part of our plans for the business, and Bill will be a real asset across all areas of our growing portfolio.
“That includes not only our residential rental properties, but our significant and growing block management client base, where we have built considerable experience and technical expertise.”
Mike added that the appointment would allow him to continue working with established clients while spending more time on the wider development of Cherry Godfrey Property and the Group.
Bill’s arrival follows continued investment in the company’s sales, lettings and property management operations.
As part of the wider Cherry Godfrey Group, the property team also works alongside colleagues covering mortgages, insurance and finance.
