Isle of Wight musician Paul Ruck will be among those performing as The Privateers bring a high-energy mix of folk and shanty music to Medina Theatre.
The trio will take to the stage on Sunday 17th May at 15:00, delivering a fresh, modern twist on centuries-old songs.
The Privateers feature Ruck alongside David Julien and Nik Potts, combining intricate harmonies, accomplished musicianship and a light-hearted approach.
Described as Mumford & Sons meets The Fisherman’s Friends, the group deliver a performance designed to appeal to audiences of all ages.
Ruck has previously shared the stage with artists including Jimmy James, Chesney Hawkes and Incognito, and also fronts an Eric Clapton tribute show.
Julien, a 2012 contestant on BBC’s The Voice, has supported Leona Lewis and Dion Warwick, spent 2 years in the West End and performs with the Dave Arch Band on Strictly Come Dancing.
Potts, another Isle of Wight talent, is known for his work with acclaimed band LUCID and brings 15 years of experience to the group.
Together, the trio have performed around the world, creating a stylish and spirited show that breathes new life into classic folk and shanty songs.
Audiences can expect an energetic and entertaining afternoon when The Privateers arrive at Medina Theatre on Sunday 17th May.
