Efforts are underway to locate a burglar who stole tobacco products from a convenience store in Gunville in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Police received a report at 03:26 that an alarm had been activated after a fire door was damaged at the shop on Gunville Road, Newport.
Tobacco products, including cigarettes and vapes, were stolen from the premises during the incident.
The force has confirmed enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have yet been made.

Crime Scene Investigators have worked to gather evidence throughout the morning, filling up several evidence bags and taking photos of the crime scene.
Central Stores has been closed, it is unclear when they will re-open.
A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson has said:
