Every bloody day…
And with the Wroxall Rd closed and the Whitwell one later, with people on, to them, unusual roads, there are likely to be even more than usual.
Maybe it was just an accident – they do happen.
Every day, Why?.
Just received an email from IW COUNCIL saying STAY HOME!
Yet everyone is out crashing their cars everyday.
Why not wait until Sandown Pier reopens and go on the Dodgems!
People are still going out to shop and work. Not every car journey is for leisure
Ever thought the pregnant woman in the crash is a keyworker and works at a hospital…. No. Maybe show some sympathy instead of making stupid remarks. Luckily no one was injured.
Simple, some people’s mentality with empty roads, “it’s lockdown so foot down” can’t count the number of people hammering it around.
Yeah but you can count the number of speeding deterrents. Zero.
I will say this the road coming out of scinde Crescent to join North road is very dangerous I live up scinde Crescent and rarely take my car up because of the complete blind spot emerging out of scinde Crescent to north road a few residents up my road have complained to the council for years.
They have refuse to put up a mirror so vehicles emerging out onto the main road can see vehicles coming down. A mirror was put up but it was taken down again as the council said it would distract traffic we insisted that there would be an accident someday and this is an example. I hope all those who were involved in the accident earlier are ok.
Yes, you make a perfectly good point. It’s a lottery pulling out of that road, it is completely blind expecially when most drivers don’t understand what a speed limit means.
Why are our highly paid councillors not doing their jobs???..
Why is basic common sense so difficult for them???.
Speed Limit..?? What’s that ?? Those so called drivers are only used to following a bumper in front of them, now no bumpers… just clear road, don’t bother looking when pulling out, , cannot judge speed of oncoming vehicles either.. pure stupidity… I feel sorry for the innocent ones that these so called drivers hurt !
The blindspot that resulted in the Nissan juke pulling out of scinde Crescent to north road its impossible because of the wall and pillers to see what coming down the main road without actually be right out and causing a accident. Its pretty much of winding windows down and listening for traffic coming down and waiting for the traffic opposite side to clear so you can hear if there anything coming down the main road.
I agree but a simple sign says waring traffic emerges from blind spot would help to alert drivers to possibilities of something pulling out and they may not see them.
Lock down what lock down people are going about normal business as usual
Stupid of people not to care, no wonder there is a lockdown.. maybe they should ban cars and motorbikes off the roads until lockdown is over./. STAY INDOORS>>
Maybe food shopping, going to work if unable to work from home. I know it looks cut and dried, stay at home, but it might not be. The lines on the road are not helpful, no reserved space on the carriageway hatch markings near the junction to protect emerging traffic, no concealed entrance sign, worn markings rendered invisible in the rain. I would say the highway authority is equally negligent with the driver(s).
I agree, and also those that drive around in circles around the towns on noisy motorbikes, going no where in particular… STAY INDOORS>>
And now they are making the driving test even easier… imagine in five years time… ten of these a day no doubt !! Drivers do not look and think.. ..
Is the island turning in to a great big bumper car circuit?
We need to open a new business in car body repairs everyone on the island seems to have forgotten how to drive.seems a minimum of 3 crashes a day on IE website alone.what will it be like when everybody can get back in their vehicles?
Now this has happened i will press for road safety measures to be implemented and to avoid future crashes that may result in lost of life.
