The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been scrambled to Wootton this morning (Sunday) in a bid to save the life of a very poorly patient.
It was just before 11:35 that flying medics from the Southampton-based charity landed in a field of Brocks Copse Road.
The HEMS team are assisting the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service with a medical emergency at a residential address nearby.
It is the second time today that the air ambulance has been deployed to the Isle of Wight, although the first mission earlier this morning saw the aircraft stood down mid-flight.
The air ambulance was then shortly after re-deployed to the ongoing incident between Wootton and Whippingham.
