A property fire in the rural village of Porchfield has been tackled by firefighters from stations across the Isle of Wight this morning (Sunday).
Firefighters from Newport, Ryde and Shanklin were called to the scene on Main Road at around 11:00 following reports of a fire within a residential address.
Equipped in breathing apparatus and using hose reel jets, firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control.
Main Road remains blocked whilst firefighters pack up their equipment.
Crews from Ryde and Shanklin have already returned to station, with remaining crews expected to follow suit imminently.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
