The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been scrambled to a late night collision involving a van in Godshill.
Police and paramedics are on scene on High Street, outside Godshill Model Village, where a collision occurred at around 23:00.
Such was the nature of the collision, which Island Echo understands involved a van, the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was scrambled, landing at the nearby Central Mead.
The main route through Godshill is currently blocked between Hollow Lane and School Crescent.
Southern Vectis buses are currently diverting and motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being.
