A trip to the beach has gone spectacularly wrong for the owner of a Honda CR-V tonight (Friday), with the 4×4 now surrounded by the sea after becoming stuck in the sand near Ryde.
The Honda appears to have been recovering a jet ski from the water on the beach to the west of Ryde Pier, between Binstead and Ryde, when things took a rather soggy turn.
The vehicle became stuck in the sand and, unfortunately for its owner, the incoming tide wasn’t prepared to wait around for a recovery. The result… the Honda is getting rather more acquainted with the sea than its owner intended.
Waves are now lapping around the stranded CR-V as the water continues to rise, leaving the 4×4 looking increasingly more like a submarine than a family SUV.
The vehicle could become completely submerged if it remains in position as the tide continues to rise, with high tide not until 00:36.
