Ventnor Carnival Week has come to a spectacular close with a dazzling illuminated procession through the town last night (Saturday).
Following the main carnival procession earlier in the week, the streets of Ventnor were once again filled with colourful floats, costumes and carnival entries for the traditional illuminated finale.
The procession set off at 21:00.
Making their way through the town, the procession travelled from Pier Street along High Street, Victoria Street and Albert Street before returning via Pier Street and continuing along Church Street, Belgrave Road and Park Avenue.
Large crowds turned out to watch the spectacle, with the illuminated entries lighting up the streets as Ventnor brought its 2026 Carnival Week celebrations to a close.
The carnival season continues next week, with the next two major processions taking place in Newport and East Cowes.
Newport Illuminated Carnival takes place on Thursday 20th August, with the procession starting from Church Litten & South Street at 21:00.
Then, East Cowes Carnival follows on Saturday 22nd August, with the procession setting off from Beatrice Avenue at 19:15. The timing may be subject to slight change due to the ferry.
