Police have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug following an incident in Ventnor yesterday afternoon (Sunday) in which a woman was rushed to hospital – where she remains in a serious condition.
It was at around 14:15 that emergency services were first alerted to a concern for welfare at an address on Newport Road in Ventnor. Resources from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Such was the severity of the woman’s condition, the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) was scrambled from its Thruxton base.
Police have now confirmed that a 27-year-old, also from Ventnor, has been arrested. He remains in custody at this time.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing, Police have said.
UPDATE ON TUESDAY – Police have confirmed that the arrested male has been released on bail until the 1st September.

Another £120 fine coming.
Probably covered by his benefits.
It was no secret about what went on there, for various reasons, and he will undoubtedly get a fine for supply, but who speaks up for the victims? Certainly our justice(?) system has forgotten about punishment for real criminals, especially when a social media post can get you 3 years in prison, but attacking a copper or supplying killer drugs can get a £30 fine!
We live in strange times ever since the Plandemic.
