A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision between a double-decker bus and a motorcycle on the outskirts of St Helens.
It was shortly after 13:00 that Police and paramedics were called to Eddington Road, at the junction with Attrills Lane, after a KTM motorcycle was involved in a road traffic collision with a Southern Vectis bus.
The crash has left the rider of the 125cc vehicle injured.
He is now being conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment, but is not thought to have sustained significant injuries.
The bus involved, a round-the-Island Island Coaster service, has sustained front nearside damage.
Eddington Road was partially blocked for a time but the incident has now been cleared.

If you actually look at the positioning of the bus its most likely the bus would have pulled in front of the motorcyclist but clearly your vision needs testing with your idiotic comment.
The bus doesn’t use that junction. They probably backed into there so they weren’t blocking the road

No one starts their day thinking they are going to have an accident. I hope the biker is lucky not to have lasting injuries and thanks his/her lucky star. Incidents like this strikes a cord in all bikers and their families. Wishing all the best and a good outcome because I know that feeling when the police come to say your loved one has been in a motorcycle accident.
My advice is get off the bikes then. Is the thrill worth your life?
