And people think I am crazy keep going on about
speeding motorists, believe me I am not crazy
I CARE, hence my concern about speeding.
We need safer roads.
Over 30 years ago I was driving on the mainland
and my vehicle was written off, a car full of youngsters
some who had been drinking knocked my vehicle off the road.
I had blacked out in shock and the person who was
driving had swapped seats with another driver who
had been drinking.
I understand the dangers of drink driving and speeding
hence my concern.
The island used to be a safe place to drive but over the
last 20 years it’s getting out of control.
I have seen so many dodgy situations on the island
and have been nearly knocked off the road 3 times on
the island in the last 3 years
Once along Beaper Shute
Once along Marshcombe Shute
Once along the Military Road
Something seriously needs to be done and before
people think I go too slow, how wrong you are!
I stick to the rules. I don’t go slow, other people
go too fast.
Let’s hope they catch the culprits and BAN them
from driving and fine them heavily.
Many of us have young ones who drive and want them
to be safe.
