Photos, archives and records charting the history of St Helens will go on display at the village’s annual Summer Exhibition on Bank Holiday Monday (31st August).
St Helens Historical Society is inviting residents and visitors to explore a collection of material documenting the village and its people at St Helens Community Centre.
The exhibition will feature photographs and archives relating to the Duver and the Royal Isle of Wight Golf Course, alongside information about village families, historic school registers and other items from the Society’s collection.
The event will run from 11:00 until 16:00 at the Community Centre in Guildford Road.
Admission is free and a raffle will also be held, with visitors advised that payment is by cash only.
Those interested in finding out more about the work of St Helens Historical Society will also have the opportunity to become members.
Annual membership costs £10 and includes free entry to all of the Society’s speaker events during the coming year.
