Police have released a CCTV image of 2 women they want to speak to after more than £260 worth of groceries were stolen from Tesco Extra in Ryde on Saturday (22nd August).
The shoplifting incident occurred at the supermarket on Brading Road at around 18:00, resulting in officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary issuing a public appeal.
Police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying and assisting with enquiries about the 2 women who were seen inside the store at the time.
The first woman is described as white and aged in her early 40s, with blonde hair. She was wearing a denim jacket, glasses and white shorts with black stripes, and was carrying a black bag.
The second woman is described as white and aged in her late 20s or early 30s. She had blonde hair with brown roots and was wearing a blue crop top, black shorts and sunglasses.
Anyone who recognises the women pictured, or who was in the area at the time and witnessed anything suspicious, is being urged to contact police.

Police have reiterated that shoplifting will not be tolerated and are encouraging businesses to continue reporting incidents so officers can take action against offenders.
