Police are appealing for information after a number of antiques were stolen from a shop in Shanklin last week.
The theft took place at around 00:15 last Thursday (7th July) at Victoria Antiques in Victoria Avenue, Shanklin.
A man was seen to leave the shop via a smashed window, carrying several items. A member of the public challenged him, which caused the man to run off.
The items the suspect took include a rare 19th century double-barrelled W2J Rigby-Dublin percussion pistol, an art deco bronze sculpture of a nude by Joe Descomps Cormier and some gold sovereign coins.
