Maximus Foundation UK has provided the charity Brainstrust with a grant of £2,500 to continue providing community support to people living with brain tumours.
The charity, based in Cowes, provides 24/7 support to people affected by any type of brain tumour from the point of diagnosis, and offer resources to help them reach their potential and live more independently.
The donation forms a part of the Foundation’s dedicated fundraising to help local charities nationwide affected by the COVID-19 crisis, which totalled £95,000 in 2020. Grant beneficiaries are selected from nominations made by Maximus UK employees.
The grant was awarded via a virtual cheque presentation by a Maximus Foundation trustee.
Di Briggs, Chair, Maximus Foundation UK said:
“The outlook for smaller charities across the UK continues to be very challenging. So we’re delighted to be able to help Brainstrust to continue their work providing much-needed support and resources for people living with brain tumours in their community”.
Tom Cowie – Head of Income at Brainstrust, said:
“The Coronavirus pandemic hit our fundraising hard, with most fundraising events being cancelled. Meanwhile, demand for our services rose as people found themselves in a situation where scans and surgeries were cancelled and we were receiving a lot of anxious calls from our community. The donation from the Maximus Foundation allows us to keep our team available to our community at a time when they need us the most.”

Wishing you all the best and thank you.
