MP Bob Seely is urging Island residents to take part in the latest National Rural Crime Network survey.
Respondents will be asked about rural crime where they live and work and the last survey found the financial cost of offences was £800 million a year.
Mr Seely has said:
“This survey found out a great deal when it was last completed three years ago and it is important that government and the police have the best possible picture of what is going on in the countryside and whether the situation has changed.
“The Isle of Wight is largely rural and I urge its community to fill out this survey. The results may make for difficult reading but the more complete picture we have, the better served rural communities will be.”
The survey can be accessed at www.nationalruralcrimenetwork.net/survey.
It is open until 10th June 2018.
