A 41-year-old sex offender from Ryde has appeared in court accused of failing to comply with the notification requirements of the Sex Offenders Register.
Reza Hatami, of Green Street, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court this morning (Friday) after allegedly failing to comply with a notification requirement regarding his 7-year period on the Sex Offenders Register.
The court heard from a member of the Crown Prosecution Service, Serena Edwards, that Hatami failed to notify the police of his address within the allocated 12-month period on 7th May.
He entered a not guilty plea to the charge.
Hatami opted for his trial to be heard in the Magistrates’ Court on 5th August this year.
