Binstead COB booked their place in the Junior A Final at the Fairway Sports Complex on Saturday, overcoming blustery conditions with a composed performance.
In testing conditions, Binstead showed both quality and control on an immaculate surface, settling into the contest after a competitive opening. The breakthrough arrived following a goalmouth scramble from a set-piece, with Paul Dodd quickest to react and fire home to put the visitors ahead (0-1).
The Green Army raised their level after the restart, creating a string of chances as they began to assert their dominance. Their persistence paid off when Ash Smith produced a composed finish to double the advantage (0-2), before adding his second soon after with another well-taken effort to cap an excellent team move (0-3).
It proved a complete performance from Binstead, who combined defensive solidity with attacking sharpness to secure their place in the final, where they will meet East Cowes Sports Reserves.
