Leading Isle of Wight attraction The Garlic Farm is teaming up with Wightlink Ferries to sell some of its tasty Island produce on board its ships.
Chutneys, mayonnaises, sauces and beer, all made with garlic, are now available on the Fishbourne to Portsmouth route ferries St Clare, St Cecilia and Wight Sun and will soon be on Yarmouth to Lymington ferries Wight Light and Wight Sky.
Wightlink is proud to support Island businesses and already has links with The Isle of Wight Ice Cream Company in Newport and Full Spread sandwiches in Lake.
Captain Mike Smith, a garlic fan himself, was quick to sample some of the range when Barnaby Edwards and Janet Hibbard from The Garlic Farm set up a stall on board Wightlink’s flagship St Clare. He said:
“Garlic is good for you, I eat it every day and I’m delighted we will be selling it on board”.
Barnaby says:
“This will be a great opportunity for holidaymakers to try out our range on the way to the Island and anyone needing a last minute present for a friend or relative on the way home can pick up a gift hamper on board”.
