Pan Together has received generous grant funding to run free weekly drop-in sessions to help Islanders get back into work.
The charity, which exists to support and provide a community hub for the residents of East Newport, has been awarded funding from both Sovereign Housing Association and the Island’s Adult Community Learning team.
Rachel Thomson, Pan Together’s Community Centre Manager, has said:
“Anyone who’s wanting to brush up their skills or get help with their CV should come along. People who are thinking about returning to work after a break should join us and we’ll also be offering guidance about making effective job applications.
“We’ll be very happy to help and/or give advice and support during our friendly and informal sessions. No booking is required, so do pop along and you’ll be made very welcome”.
The sessions will take place in the IT Room at Downside Community Centre, Furrlongs, Newport from 09:00-15:00 every Wednesday, starting on 4th May.
