Police have launched an investigation after a woman suffered ABH-level injuries during an assault in Newport on Friday (4th September).
Officers were called to an address on St Thomas Square shortly after 14:00 following reports that a woman had been assaulted.
The woman sustained injuries described by Police as being ‘at ABH level’.
Island Echo understands the injuries were caused by a boiling liquid.
Officers attended the scene and an investigation into the incident is now underway.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
