The HEMS team from HIOWAA and paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are attending to the occupants of the vehicle, thought to be a male and two females.
The incident has involved the homeowners of the thatched cottage that was damaged by a lorry last week. They were turning into their drive way at the time of the collision.
UPDATE @ 17:00 – The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, which was called to the incident as a precaution, has now taken off without needing to convey any patients.
Two elderly people have been taken by land ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital but they are not thought to have suffered any serious, life-threatening injuries.
The pick-up driver, who is said to have been ironically distracted by the damage to the thatched cottage, has escaped any injury and has been able to drive away from the collision.
Police and fire crews have left the scene.
The road has now fully reopened and traffic is flowing once again.
