The Isle of Wight Raptors can secure a first-ever national flag football play-off place when they host the final game day of the season on Saturday.
The Raptors, formerly known as the Hell Hounds, go into the final round of fixtures knowing their play-off hopes remain alive.
They are 3rd in Division 1 South East with a record of 10 wins and 6 defeats and face London Rebels B (11-5) and Salisbury City Marauders (11-4), who currently sit just above them in the standings.
The top 8 teams across the South East, South West and Midlands divisions will qualify for the national play-offs, with the next 8 progressing to the Plate tournament.
The Raptors currently occupy 11th place overall, with Rebels B in 9th and the Marauders in 7th. Victories over their play-off rivals could see them secure a first-ever place in the national play-offs.
The event takes place at The Bay CE School in Sandown on Saturday (25th July). Play begins at 10:30, with the Raptors due to take to the field at around 13:00 and 14:15. Admission is free.
