Brighstone will be back on the map next Christmas as the popular Christmas Tree Festival will be making a return in 2023, it has been announced.
It was thought that the festival had ended after 22 years of superb and dedicated management by Chris Goodman. However, new organisers Emily Waters and Diane Woodhouse are stepping in to fill the big Christmas boots of Chris.
Emily, of Little Luna Events, brings a wealth of experience in events management, alongside Diane, who comes from a background in sales and events with the Isle of Wight Council. The ladies both state that a great love of all things Christmas left them with no doubt that this was the project they had both been waiting for. ‘
Emily and Diane say:
“We are both incredibly excited to be taking on this Island-grown event, which benefits many local charities and good causes. We look forward to joining forces with Lizzie Wade and the team at IOW Pearl, who have kept the lights on so to speak and hosted the mini Christmas Tree Festival in the absence of the main festival, which has now swollen to around 70 trees at that venue this year.
Former organiser Chris Goodman has said:
“I would just say that it has been a privilege to work with a fantastic team and to organise this joyful event over many years and I am confident that the future of the Brighstone Tree Festival is in good hands. I wish the new enthusiastic organisers all the best for the future.”
More information will be released as the set-up for 2023 progresses next year.

well done for stepping in and good luck to you all.
Enjoy it whilst we still have Christian churches and festivals here. Fully agree and thank you for taking this on. A lovely kind act which gives so much joy in these gloomy days.
