Wight Eagles U15s performed well in tricky weather conditions to beat Warsash Wasps 7-2 on Saturday and record another win in the process.
The Islanders started on the front foot, with Dani Robinson continually weaving through the defence and looking likely to score with every move.
The opener then came through a ball on the right played across the box by Ocean Clark to find Tawnie Siddall to finish. 1-0 to the Eagles. 5 mins after the keeper kicked the ball out to only find the feet of Dani Robinson who unleashed a rocket into the roof of the Warsash keeper’s net.

The 2nd half saw Manager Dan Verstraeten change the tactics and play 3 at the back, hoping the girls could counter-attack a lot more and quicker than they had in the 1st half.
Eagles were keeping possession well and making life hard for the opposition to break them down, a quick burst from Dani Robinson again from her own half cutting through at least 5 players left here 1v1 before she slotted the ball past the keeper to leave the Eagles 3-0 up and cruising. Soon after Tawnie Siddall got her 2nd and made it 4-0 to the Eagles.
However the Islanders began to relax and take there eye of the ball for a second. This lapse in concentration saw a Warsash player brought down in the box under the slippery conditions. The subsequent penalty was nearly saved by Lizzie Dodds in goal, who got her finger tips to it but couldn’t keep it out. 4-1.
Warsash were sparked back into life and quickly got themselves another making it 4-2, game on surely.
But it wasn’t to be for the mainland side as Eagles regained control and flexed their muscles once again, Beth Bolton set up Ocean Clark to make it 5-2. Some great persistence from Lily-Rae Woodmore saw her follow in an effort to score on the rebound. The win was crowned with the hat-trick for Tawnie Siddall who completed the rout and made it 7-2.
