Wight Eagles girls’ youth teams had a successful weekend with the Under-15s drawing away from home, and victories for the Under-13 and Under-11 sides.
WARSASH U15s 2-2 WIGHT EAGLES U15s
After the fantastic result last weekend, the girls travelled away, thinking an easy result was on the cards, but they were very much mistaken as Warsash came back fighting after taking an early lead, but this was cancelled out by Ocean Clark.
They then came in at half time 1-2 down, but this didn’t last long, as captain Dani Robinson claimed a point for the Island side .
WIGHT EAGLES U13s 3-1 STUBBINGTON U13s
The Eagles started back on the front foot, making life hard for the travelling team. A hard-working Stubbington tried to put the pressure on, but couldn’t handle the presence of Kelsie Ronan and Isla Ash up front; their partnership started to blossom, and both provided each other goals; Isla Ash getting a brace, and Kelsie Ronan also appearing on the score sheet.

GOSPORT U11s 2-4 WIGHT EAGLES U11s
The youngest of the Eagles played an outstanding game of football and showed the future looks bright. It was end-to-end in the 1st half, but Gosport couldn’t stop Evlynn Harvey from smashing in a hat-trick and an own goal sealed the points for the young guns.

In Division 3, Cowes Sports Ladies were unable to play their fixture against Gosport Borough Ladies. First, the referee went down with Covid-19.
