Isle of Wight favourite, Hurst, has announced the reopening date of its stores across the Island.
The popular local chain, which was established as a hardware and homeware seller in 1886, will reopen on Monday (29th March) following its decision to voluntarily close to keep both staff and customers safe during the latest lockdown – as previously reported by Island Echo.
During its closure, customers have been able to utilise its ‘Click and Collect’ service, but will soon be able to browse in person once more at its Newport, Shanklin, Ventnor, Freshwater, Ryde and Cowes based stores.
Islanders can also take advantage of the Hurst island-wide delivery service, which is available on its website.

Always great service and helpful. Lets hope they can survive the net shopping by keeping up such friendly and knowledgeable staff to assist as they have in the past.
Yes. You realy do forget how convenient it is to pop in and get things at a very reasonable price. Support them if you need anything.
Great news indeed. Keep the local shops going.
Excellent news, can’t wait to get things from them again rather than other places.
Best shop in town, friendly and knowledgeable staff, Grace Brothers style, and the even sell fork handles.
