Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club held their first Friday fun golf event of the year on last week (5th June).
Members rolled up and played a 9 hole stableford competition, followed by a delicious barbeque open to members, families and friends, with the bar open and music playing in the background.
The event was well supported and there was a great atmosphere in the clubhouse and outside to kick start the weekend.
A raffle was held in aid of the captains’ charity.
The results of the competition were:
- 1st – Theo Parsons – 23 points (on countback)
- 2nd – Jenson Jarvis – 23 points
- 3rd – Pete Long – 21 points
Pete Long also won nearest the pin on the 9th hole.
The next Friday fun golf event will take place on 10th July.
