UPDATED: Members of the public and a local councillor have laid flowers, teddies and lit candles at the scene of yesterday’s tear-jerking incident in East Cowes in which a 6-year-old girl and a 44-year-old man died alongside 2 dogs.
Cllr Julia Baker-Smith has joined others in paying her respects for those who died in the incident at Cromwell Avenue, as reported by Island Echo last night.
A 6-year-old girl enjoying her half-term break from school died at St Mary’s Hospital after being found unconscious at the detached family home on the Hawthorn Estate. She was rushed to hospital under a Police escort but doctors couldn’t save her.
One message left alongside a cuddly toy says ‘may you fly high now little angel. We will miss your hugs’.
UPDATE: The pair have now been named as Keziah Flux-Edmonds, 6, and her father Darren Flux-Edmonds, 44.
Police remain at the property as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
