Isle of Wight-based Stubbings Brothers has achieved a staggering 100% excavator market share in the 0.8 to 8 tonne machine range for the first time in the company’s history.
A family run business established in 1983, Stubbings Brothers has worked alongside Kubota for more than 6 years and is the largest Island-based dealership to specialise in providing an all-round service, from machinery sales through to parts and service support.
The 100% excavator market share landmark was achieved after years of continual growth for Stubbings Bros, with machine reliability and high-level customer service key to the success.
Luke Stubbings has said:
“It wasn’t very long ago that Stubbings had little influence in the construction market. To then work closely with Kubota and go on to achieve 100% excavator market share in the 0.8 to 8 tonne machine range is an achievement we are immensely proud of and it’s great to see the strides our business has made in such a short space of time.
“Key to our success is the sales and aftersales support we provide our customers and to make sure we’re adding value to their operations. The construction industry is buoyant in the Isle of Wight and our customers want a machine that is reliable, won’t let them down and can get the job done. With Kubota, they get exactly that.
“It’s an exciting time for us, with the quality and popularity of Kubota machines and the value we add as a dealer, I’m excited for what Stubbings Brothers can achieve as we move forward.”

Wow! I am over the moon to read this.
With CV cases growing daily, the only Western leader to speak how he feels now under threat, our PM about to ‘give in’ to the EU over a hard leave, with more concessions than one can believe, all yet to be revealed over the coming months, and the most miserable wet, long cold winter ahead, this unexpected news is a ray of light and a breathe of fresh air to all the gloom……………………….Isn’t it?
Well done
Well, I and no doubt many many others shall now sleep better tonight, knowing that the .8 ton digger market share is safe with these guys.
Well, I should think so too Holly. The .8 ton range is not easy to keep at the top of in this CV reduced activity times.
Nice to know at least you appreciate the magnitude of all this, many wouldn’t.
We can now both sleep more soundly tonight in this otherwise troubled world.
Thanks Echo, for giving us some bright news on this dull wet day. Keep having to pinch myself to check it is not all a dream.
Regards J.S
“Staggering” news. No really, I am literally staggering about. Honest. Promise. What a load of old twaddle. Mere tedious advertorial.
from the London Stubbings to the Isle of Wight Stubbings………”well BLOODY Done!”
Hmm. No mention of how they are faring in the 8 tonne plus excavator market, nor in the sub 0.8 tonne category.
The sad fact is Phil, it is because of the ruination of ever more building on the Island that ‘digger’ sales are up.
So not something unless you are ‘making’ on the ruination of a beautiful area we should be hanging the flags out for, but fair play to them, they have done well.
Bit like celebrating the selling of military hardware, great for the seller, NOT so good when the intended purpose is sought.
Phwoah !!! Pure erotic digger porn !!!
Useful machine for getting into tight gaps. I will have a little celebration tipple tonight in honour of this highly successful sells target, but, agree, it is a tool to destroy much natural beauty to house the mainland over spill masses, who have outbreed their own lands, and are now doing the same, AND getting ‘paid’ to do so here in the UK, Hence the amount floating over here.
