2 men are due to appear in court next week following a road rage incident on a rural road on the outskirts of Ryde earlier this year.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Police were called at 15:22 on Wednesday 18th March to reports of a road rage incident on Harding Shute, on the outskirts of Ryde.
At the scene, 2 vehicles – a Renault Kadjar and a Ford Transit van – were involved in a damage-only collision.
However, 3 men then exited the van, with 2 of them assaulting the driver of the car.
21-year-old Jackson Brown of The Avenue, Totland Bay, has now been charged with assault by beating and criminal damage. He has been bailed to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Friday 18th September.
A 20-year-old from Newport has also been issued a postal requisition to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 15th September to face charges of assault by beating.
