Islanders looking for work in the care and health sectors will be able to meet employers and training providers at a careers festival in Newport next week.
The Isle of Wight Council’s Care and Health Careers Festival will return to Lord Louis Library on Wednesday 16th September between 10:00 and 14:00.
Local employers, volunteering organisations, training providers and healthcare professionals will be on hand to discuss current vacancies, training programmes and career development opportunities.
The free event is open to those looking for their first job, considering a career change, returning to work or exploring opportunities within care and health.
A range of roles will be highlighted, from frontline care and healthcare positions to administration, support services and specialist careers, alongside volunteering opportunities.
New for this year’s festival will be the Isle of Wight Council’s Fostering Team, which will provide information about becoming a foster carer and the support available.
Several NHS organisations are also set to attend, including the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Health Services, NHS Professionals and NHS Working Towards Wellbeing.
Admission is free and there is no need to book.
