8-year-old Island gymnast Eden-Rose has been crowned the 2026 IGA All-Around Champion after completing a remarkable clean sweep of gold medals.
The Ventnor youngster took 1st place on vault, bars, beam and floor at the IGA Levels Championships, where she competed against gymnasts from across the UK.
Her performances across all 4 apparatus also saw Eden-Rose finish 1st overall and secure the 2026 IGA All-Around title.
Eden-Rose trains with Legacy Elite Gymnastics Academy in Newport and has made significant progress in the sport over the past 7 months.
That success has come alongside a demanding training schedule, with the 8-year-old travelling from Ventnor to Newport 4 times a week while continuing her schooling.
The commitment is already opening the door to further opportunities, with Eden-Rose selected to represent Legacy Elite at competitions in Jersey and Barcelona in 2027.
Her family say the youngster’s love of gymnastics has kept her motivated through the long training days and sacrifices needed to compete at a high level.
They are now seeking sponsorship to help with the costs of Eden-Rose’s training and competitions. Anyone interested can contact [email protected].
