The Hungry Bear Sunday Roast is making a return to the Isle of Wight, with the popular traditional Sunday lunch now being served from a new home in Niton.
Hungry Bear is serving its roasts every Sunday from 12:30 at Koffie on Niton High Street.
The business has built up a loyal following for its traditional cooking, quality ingredients, generous portions and family-style hospitality.
Founder and chef Stuart ‘The Bear’ Downes has said:
“We’ve been overwhelmed by how many people have asked us to bring the Hungry Bear roast back. Sunday lunch should be about good, honest food, generous portions and spending time around the table with the people who matter most.
“Niton has always been a special place for our family, so it feels great to begin this new chapter here. I’m excited to be back in the kitchen and serving the roasts that people have been missing.”
Hungry Bear began serving food at local events before opening its first permanent home at the Old Lavender Farm in 2017.
It later operated from Fakenham Farm and the Rectory Mansion in Brading, with its Sunday roasts becoming a firm favourite with customers from across the Isle of Wight.
As well as dining in, customers can order Sunday roasts to collect, either hot and ready to eat or prepared as a convenient ‘heat-at-home’ meal.
Plans are also in the pipeline to redevelop Hungry Bear’s popular roast delivery service as the business continues to grow.
A new Hungry Bear website has now launched, allowing customers to view the menu and book a table online. Customers can also contact Team Bear through its Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Sunday roasts are served from 12:30 every Sunday at Koffie, Commerce House, High Street, Niton, PO38 2AT, with booking strongly recommended.
Diners can bring their own alcoholic drinks, with glassware provided and no corkage charge. Dietary requirements can also be accommodated when requested in advance.
