Strings Bar & Venue is preparing to take over the woodlands of Robin Hill this Summer, with Sigma, Tom Meighan and Scouting For Girls all set to headline a trio of outdoor shows next month.
The popular Newport music venue is relocating to the Isle of Wight adventure park for 3 nights of live music between 14th and 16th August, bringing together nationally recognised acts and local talent in what organisers describe as an intimate woodland setting.
Andy Booth, Co-Owner of Strings Bar & Venue, has said:
“Summer is always much quieter for us at the venue, as many people opt for outdoor experiences, holidays and festivals. This is why we wanted to maintain the momentum of putting on live music through this period, and the woodlands at Robin Hill is an area that still preserves a level of intimacy.
“Most of these bands play to huge audiences across the country all year round, so we’re grateful that they’ve agreed to come and play a show in such a cosy setting.”
The weekend gets underway on 14th August with drum and bass duo Sigma, best known for their chart-topping hit Nobody to Love. They will be joined by Southampton DJ collective FooR, Isle of Wight favourite Shufflah and Portsmouth’s Flash, before Beats on Tap hosts the afterparty into the early hours.
Saturday’s line-up is headed by former Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan, performing a selection of the band’s biggest hits alongside material from his solo career. Britpop favourites Echobelly, Rolla, Oxygen and Isle of Wight band Five Degrees North will also perform.
Scouting For Girls will close the weekend in what will be their only Isle of Wight appearance of 2026. The show is nearly sold out, with support from The Lilacs, The Covasettes, Goodbye Stereo, Fugo Kid and Ruby.
A selection of Isle of Wight food and drink traders will be on site throughout the weekend, including Smokehouse, So Much Dough and Richmonds Bakery. Strings will also be serving its signature cocktails.
VIP tickets for the Sunday have already sold out, although tickets remain available for the Friday and Saturday events, offering access to a dedicated viewing area, bar, toilets and food traders.
Friday’s event is for those aged 18 and over, with gates opening at 17:00. Saturday and Sunday shows are open to those aged 12 and above when accompanied by an adult, with gates opening at 15:00.
Free parking will be available at Robin Hill, with visitors directed on arrival.
Tickets for all 3 days are available via www.stringsbarandvenue.com.
