Life-long Queen fan Martin Josephson from Manchester is aiming to make it to the Isle of Wight Festival this year in order to hit the milestone of seeing the legendary group perform some 100 times.
57-year-old Martin was lucky enough to see Queen perform with Freddie Mercury an incredible 60 times between 1976 and 1986, including flying to Brazil to see them perform in 1985. Martin even proposed to his wife Lynda whilst on stage with Brain May.
Since Freddie died, Martin has seen Queen with Paul Rodgers a total of 22 times and Queen + Adam Lambert an additional 17 times.
Martin said:
“If I can make the Isle of Wight Festival show then this will equate to 100 Queen shows. I cant think of anywhere better to celebrate this than at the Isle of Wight Festival”.
Having been made redundant recently, Martin fears he simply may not be able to afford to attend what is set to be an incredible night to remember. He’s hoping John Giddings can step in to make it happen…
