Nodes Point Holiday Park has launched a daily community clean campaign following discussions with St Helens Parish Council regarding litter on The Duver and Church Green.
The Parish Council have also invested in recycling bins on The Duver and have worked with the Isle of Wight Council and Island Roads on surplus sand issues in the car park.
Parish Chairman John Coleman said:
“We all have an interest in ensuring the Duver and surrounding area is as free from litter and rubbish as possible, and this is part of a combined effort to keep the area clear for local residents and visitors to enjoy”.
Darryn Yeowell, General Manager of Nodes Point added:
“We’ve timetabled our team of estate staff to include the Duver and Church Green in their morning round, and hope this helps support the local community – in these challenging times we all have a part to play”.
Cllr Coleman concluded:
“If everyone makes a contribution, the Duver will continue to be a place all will enjoy coming to and enjoying, taking away amazing memories and only leaving behind footprints of their stay”.

As always the mature picking up after the young.
I would leave it, and let them sit in their own squalor, for it is the young who keep on about pollution, the ills of plastic etc, yet they are the ones who are the most messy and wasteful
Well done to all involved. Great to see Nodes Point supporting this initiative along with St.Helens Parish Council. If the people who use the beach and surrounding area see it well cared for it might just encourage them to keep it that way.
