Admiral and Member of the Royal Yacht Squadron, The Duke of Edinburgh, will carry out a number of official engagements on the Isle of Wight next week as part of Cowes Week 2016.
His Royal Highness Prince Phillip will be on the Island from Monday 8th August until Wednesday 10th August.
During his time here HRH will present the Queen’s Award for Enterprise International Trade to Spinlock, a manufacturing company based in Cowes since 1976. He will also visit Osborne House in East Cowes and Northwood House, in Cowes, where he will meet with volunteers and those involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
HRH will be welcomed to the Island by HM Lord-Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Major General Martin White CB CBE JP, who comments:
“It is an honour to welcome HRH back to Cowes once more.”
Islanders are expected to be able to get a glimpse of the Royal in and around Cowes over the 3-day visit.
