Well that was a necessary journey at the taxpayers expense.
How can people be so stupid. Surely they should pay the thousands of pounds in costs.
Probably just out enjoying a walk and got into trouble, surely just an accident Ron.
You are actually allowed out for a walk. Quite sure they would rather not have been stuck in mud in the cold. Hope none of You get caught in an unexpected predicament one day.
The fact they were on holiday and don’t live on the island makes it 10 Times worse
Usual overkill..me and a mate could a done same job bung us twenty quid…save tax payers hundreds if not thousands..and no hero status needed.
And got yourself stuck at the same time. The reason they have this many there is because it prevents others getting stuck.
The blue slipper mud at Brambles is at the bottom of the cliffs. It can be easily avoided by walking along the beach! Common sense tells you Not to try and walk over it or try and climb up or down the cliff. It’s Not rocket science!
Maybe its time for the Echo to point out the blue slipper areas of the island rather than report on rescues, it seems a certain type of person getting stuck each time, lockdown wanderers…
Someone on the IW stuck in the mud?? Surely not!
