A man stood near the cliff edge on Culver Down has lead to an emergency response from Police and HM Coastguard this afternoon (Saturday).
3 Police vehicles including a van are present at the scene, with emergency services called shortly before 15:30, having received reports of concerns for the welfare of a male located at the East Wight beauty spot overlooking Sandown Bay.
Coastguard Rescue Teams from Ventnor and the nearby Bembridge are both in attendance also.
It is believed that a male is standing near the cliff edge.
Those present are working to de-escalate the sensitive situation.
UPDATE @ 16:32 – The incident has concluded and all emergency services have now stood down.





























































































Must be very cold up there, hope this guy gets the right help that he needs, but I won’t hold my breath….We all live in troubled times, unfortunately some of us can’t cope…
