Firefighters from Shanklin have attended a car fire in Sandown this morning (Monday).
1 retained appliance was mobilised to the scene at College Close at just before 08:15.
A 999 call alerted the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service to the situation.
Upon arrival of firefighters, it was discovered that the fire had already been extinguished.
Why didn’t Sandown Fire Station deal with the callout, College Close is virtually on their doorstep?
