Cross-Solent travel operator Wightlink has been forced to cancel some sailings on its Portsmouth-Fishbourne vehicle ferry route tomorrow (Tuesday).
Wightlink says the reason for the cancellation is the absence of an essential crew member.
The 06:40 and 08:40 sailings from Portsmouth and the 07:40 and 09:40 sailings from Fishbourne have been cancelled.
This is the 2nd cancellation of cross-Solent ferry services in 2 days after some Lymington – Yarmouth crossings were terminated today (Monday).
Wightlink apologises for the inconvenience this action will cause.
More lies, more cancelled sailing because the boat is not filled…..more cancellations will be along soon…

As a daily commuter on this route, I can assure you this is not the case, I’ve been on the boat with just 2/3 other cars before, and they still run?

Time for a public enquiry into the whole matter of transport between the Island and the mainland and the appointment of a body responsible for ensuring that reliable services are provided no matter what. And, no, not the Isle of Wight council as that would ensure even worse services.
The Gov could not stop P&O dismissing 800+ staff not that long ago to replace them with lower paid untrained staff. Grant Shapps spineless . so a public enquiry has no chance and forget Seldom seen Bob .leaning in . not enough photo shoots for him .. sorting Hong Kong is more important .
