UPDATED: The Met Office have put a yellow weather warning in place for heavy rain tomorrow (Monday).
An area of rain will run into the UK from the south tomorrow morning, with some very heavy bursts expected. Forecasters say there is the potential for 20-40mm of rain to fall quite widely with more than 60mm possible in some places, much of this falling in a short period of time.
Islanders are being warned about the potential for flooding, especially after the rainfall experienced this weekend. In addition there is the potential for strong winds, particularly around exposed coastal areas.
The warning is in place from midnight until 18:00.
UPDATE @ 11:55 – The Met Office have updated their weather warning, extending it from 02:00 tomorrow morning until 22:00 and increasing the likelihood.
