A 29-year-old man was arrested as he attempted to board the Red Jet to Southampton this morning (Thursday).
Police attended the scene at Fountain Yard in Cowes at around 09:15.
Officers detained a man as he was about to board the high-speed passenger service to the mainland.
It has been confirmed by Hampshire Constabulary that the male was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, criminal damage and a malicious communications offence.
These offences relate to incidents in September and October of this year.
He remains in custody at this time.
UPDATE FRIDAY @ 09:50 – 29-year-old Edward Lale of Ryde, has been charged with 2 counts of criminal damage and 1 count of sending a communication conveying a threatening message.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court later this morning.
Must of been a medical episode i expect to make him violent….more will be along soon…
