The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation (HIWCF) has announced that grant awards of £79,616 have been made to community groups working on the Isle of Wight, under Round 2 of the Solent Community Grants Programme.
The programme has been created by Solent Local Enterprise Partnership and is supported by the European Social Fund (ESF), HIWCF donors, Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council.
Grants of up to £30,000 have been awarded to the 3 organisations listed below for projects which reach and work with individuals facing complex barriers to employment, particularly those from areas of high deprivation in the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area
Grants received on the Isle of Wight include:
- Bodster Equine Assisted Learning CIC – £12,122
- Central Eltham Youth Project (CEYP) – £30,000
- Wheatsheaf Trust – £29,996
The second round of grants are in addition to first round funding totalling £82,739 made to Isle of Wight community groups in December 2016, meaning a total of £162,355 has now been awarded by the Solent Community Grants Programme on the Island.
